Communicating our intentions helps those around us make concrete plans and improves coordination.

When we are called by our fellow human beings to take action or assume a responsibility, we should promptly acknowledge that the calling has been issued, sincerely reflect upon our ability and willingness to fulfill it, and finally communicate our decision to ensure smooth cooperation.  When our answer is yes, we strive to give an enthusiastic and clear “yes”. When our answer is no, we must find the courage to say “no” firmly.

Within the Assemblage, we empower our leaders to formally call members to convocations and other responsibilities. We take these calls seriously, understanding that they represent the needs of the entire community.  We trust that our leaders have seriously considered their requests and so we prioritize saying “yes” unless we have other specific reasons for saying “no”.

Whether positive or negative, by answering the call we show appreciation for the hard work our leaders put in.  This respectful process ensures that our community thrives through good communication and consent.

RSVP

RSVPing to events is a crucial part of answering the call. It helps ease the planning process and ensures that events run smoothly. Prompt responses, clear communication of attendance, and honoring our commitments are all part of our shared responsibility.

By answering the call, we uphold Aretéan values and contribute to a well-coordinated and cohesive community.
