We believe that every action has consequences, and that those consequences have consequences too; even when the impacts are imperceptible or the chain of causality is untraceable.
We use the splash of a pebble dropped into a pond as a symbol to represent this concept. As waves expand from the center, it represents how our actions influence those around us, and then in turn how their actions influence those around them.
Eventually the amplitude of the waves tapers off until it becomes microscopic, but even then the waves still exist and can make a critical difference in how events unfold. When waves from multiple sources intersect, their energy can combine into a bigger wave. Also, small waves can find resonance within a certain environment, allowing for the power of the wave to become much stronger with only a little added energy, creating a big impact!
